The fairies are ready for Halloween

The fairies are ready for Halloween

Witches and broomsticks, bug eating bats, and spooky black cats! It can only mean one thing…Halloween is coming!

We don’t usually think of fairies as Halloween creatures, but 31st October is when Samhain, the Celtic festival of the summer's end was celebrated. The Celts believed fairies and spirits came out of hiding and walked amongst them.

On Samhain Eve, the fairies could be found dancing with ghosts, playing pranks, and causing mischief. But watch out - if you upset them, they may have brought nasty weather, spoiled your crops, or kidnapped you to Fairyland - although, that is a treat as the tricks and pranks they play there are the most fun of all!

Get in the festive spirit and add some spooky touches to your fairy door with our new Halloween accessories.

Because Climate Change Isn't Make Believe

There’s only one thing we’re more passionate about than fairy doors… the planet! This is why we’re making an effort to use sustainable practices in every part of our business. We’ve teamed up with CarbonClick, a New Zealand company making it easy for people and businesses to help fight climate change.

CarbonClick looks like a green button at checkout. When you click it, a small contribution is added to your basket which purchases carbon offsets. These offsets reduce the environmental impact of the carbon emissions related to the purchase. CarbonClick’s offsets fund forest restoration, tree planting, and renewable energy projects around the world. We’re proud to be part of the fight against climate change.

We hope you’ll join us in creating a sustainable future by choosing to CarbonClick with your purchase because whilst fairies may be make believe, climate change is very real.
